No outcome from the meeting of the Council of Ministers, which would agree on bill to introduce special measures on violent web content. Discuss this issue again, while the controversy raged
Rome - Several ministers and members of the majority had announced in recent days a series of extraordinary measures in the field of Internet and manifestations, with a view to a bill aimed at imposing restrictions on online content that incites violence. A set of views rather compact within the government majority, from proposal of the Minister of Interior Roberto Maroni on the possible dimming of malicious content such as Facebook groups in support of Massimo Tartaglia. Views uniform but have agreed at the last meeting of the Council of Ministers.
No results , then. To nothing announced by a source in the same Ministry of the Interior, which revealed that adjustments must be made to extraordinary measures taken by the Minister Maroni. We could not find a solid common ground for introducing the DDL, and in particular on whether to obscure those Web sites that incite violent behavior and to create a separate crime of disturbing events.
The agreement has jumped but this does not mean that the intentions of the government have changed. It appears that the hearing on the bill will continue in the coming days , leaving in suspense and the supporters of a crackdown against those they consider dangerous freedom peculiar to the web, both voices against what is was seen as a real gag to the Internet. Meanwhile, Senate President Renato Schifani stressed the urgency of his position in favor of some provisions to prevent "hate violence" is spreading again on online platforms like Facebook.

"Facebook, for its part, issued an official statement in which it was announced that the contents will be deleted as threatening not allowed, since the site in blue should be a place where people can discuss and express their opinions.
After the attack suffered by Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi - and groups applauded the gesture of Massimo Tartaglia - the future of newspaper stressed as one should not censor the Internet, but to introduce a regulation that passes through the application of the penal code.
Cori protest, meanwhile, have risen. Among the initiatives launched by journalists, bloggers and various other players in the web, a peaceful sit-in organized by the infant group Freedom Network in the Free State , who explained that the presence of the most repugnant opinions can not affect the entitled to a free and pluralistic public space.
